Who Are We

We’re a team of anthropologists who are seeking to work in diverse sections of our Indian society to aid the process of upliftment of the poorest of the poor. KSCF is a non-profit organisation that would promote international ethical standards in relation to field works, anonymity and publication of data points. Furthermore, KSCF works closely with the leadership of the new thoughts group to develop and support the implementation of schemes put forward by the government of the day. KSCF would also aid in developing awareness on various discourses which would ultimately lead towards the incubation of new ideas and thoughts.

About The Team

The five members present in the Board of Directors handles localization and internationalization for a large volume of research-oriented content nationally or globally each year. Our team strives to deliver the highest quality research output to the incredibly passionate and dedicated governmental or non-governmental agencies that KSCF has the pleasure of serving. We have some eminent anthropologists who are associated with KSCF as advisors and mentors. We also have a pool of scholars, students and well-wishers whose contributions are indispensable for the sustenance and growth of KSCF.

KSCF Hiring Status

KSCF would currently follow the framework of work from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances. A day in the life of our Student Interns

With support from the principal investigators, co-principal Investigators, Research Associates and Research Assistants, students are responsible for locating, establishing, and completing internship experiences. Students must identify their particular learning and career goals, and seek out internship experiences that align and support those goals. The duties of the student interns include:

• Identifying individual learning and professional goals
• Researching potential internship sites
• Contacting organizations to locate and secure internship opportunities
• Selecting a Research Associate to oversee the internship
• Working with the Research Assistant and the Board of Directors to develop a Work Plan
• Fulfilling the work requirements of the internship, as outlined in the Work Plan
• Completing all targets put forward by the KSCF during the initiation of an internship

Qualifications for Student Interns

• For Student Interns (Part-time), Salary bracket (Rs. 3,000 to 5,000/month depending on the project):The candidate should possess at least an honours degree in Anthropology or any other related subjects from any of the government recognised colleges in West Bengal with proficiency in the Bengali language. For the candidates outside West Bengal, proficiency in the Bengali language (reading and writing) is essential.

Qualifications for RA, FI and DEO

• For Research Assistant (Part-time), Salary bracket (Rs. 15,000 to 20,000/month depending on the project):Minimum 1.5+ years of field experience from a well-recognised governmental or non-governmental body. The working experience of a candidate can go along with completion of post-graduation in a particular subject (post-graduates belonging from anthropology would be given preference). Further, please note that technical knowledge on usage of computer software’s such as SPSS and MS-Office is a pre-implied requirement for this particular post.
• For Field Investigator (Part-time), Salary bracket (Rs. 8,000 to 10,000/month depending on the project):Minimum 6 months of field experience from a well-recognised governmental or non-governmental body. The working experience of a candidate can go along with completion of post-graduation in a particular subject (post-graduates belonging from anthropology would be given preference). Further, please note that technical knowledge on usage of computer software’s such as SPSS and MS-Office is a pre-implied requirement for this particular post.
• For Data Entry Operators (Part-time), Salary bracket (Rs. 5,000 to 8,000/month depending on the project):The candidate should be graduate in any of the subjects related to Social Science. However, individuals who have completed post-graduation in any of the subjects related to Social Sciences will be given special preference.
